Clutch and Brake Australia was established at Wangara, Western Australia in 1985 to manufacture passenger vehicle brake shoes for the Western Australian market. Back then, the company was called Brake Bonders and, although the name has changed, the commitment to quality, innovation and service remains undiminished.

In 1987, the company acquired a clutch remanufacturing business and three years later relocated to a purpose-built facility in Malaga, Western Australia. Since then, CBA has expanded nationally, with manufacturing and/or distribution facilities in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

CBA is headquartered in Perth at its high-volume passenger car brake bonding and clutch manufacturing operation. The Perth facility is also the distribution centre for the passenger vehicle requirements of our eastern state branches.

The Sydney branch is the clutch manufacturing and distribution facility for the eastern seaboard. CBA's high-volume commercial vehicle brake shoe bonding and riveting facility is based in Melbourne, and another distribution facility is located in Brisbane.

Although the CBA 'family' now numbers more than 60 staff, we haven't lost the enthusiasm for quality, innovation and service that the company was founded on.
